One of the biggest environmental issues is the Government failing to tackle raw sewage pollution into our rivers and seas.

Water companies are free to illegally discharge raw untreated sewage into our local environment with little or no impact taken by the poorly underfunded Environment Agency or local councils.

The Conservative Government failed to vote through much tougher laws to protect our environment from this dangerous pollution. It favoured private shareholders and water companies over UK citizens.

There were over 300,000 illegal discharges into our water system by the privately owned water companies in 2022.
